Episode 5: Homeschool Co-op’s and Itchy Socks

Britt & Christina Season 1 Episode 5

Birds of a feather, flock together.
I need to find my people!
If you build it, they will come.
I don’t want the village raising my kids, unless I get to pick who the village is.
If the shoe fits, wear it. If not, keep shopping….

Ok enough idioms and catch phrases for now, but really THIS is the episode to watch if you want a laugh. Also, we name our chicken in this episode, get to squeeze him several times (I lost count, so pay attention to the chicken counter)! Hahaha. But, besides all the giggles and controversy, THIS episode explains all you need to know about homeschool co-op’s.

From what they offer to how to find one, and then if the sock just doesn’t fit, make your own! That’s what I did, now we have 30 invested and like-minded families all contributing to a homeschool world where our children can grow up in and not worry about litter boxes and Furries. (Where’s CiCi?)

Co-op’s should be helpful. They should be a supplement to your homeschooling. They should be a support to your homeschooling. The right co-op should not be uncomfortable like an itchy sock, but rather fit comfortably and mirror your family’s values and schedule. So have a listen, and then sort through those socks – I mean co-op’s.
